From the JHH FB page:
For the last two days when I have arrived to check on centers I have found guests excited and working on the yard. Monday we planted a community garden and flowers. Tuesday we picked weeds following the previous landscaping. Guests were cleaning light fixtures and sidewalks. They are truly taking pride in their temporary home.
This warms my heart to see participation and stakeholdership of their space.
I asked why they were doing all this work and one guest told me “it’s our neighborhood too now and we want it to look beautiful like the other homes”.
This is community. This is scattered site centers.
This works.
