Shari DeBerg would like to pass on this request from Charles Durrett. You may remember him, he gave several lectures a while ago on his wonderful Cohousing projects. - Dan
Dear Shari,
I’m trying very hard to create cohousing communities for neurodivergent people around the country. At least one of them will be for neurodivergent homeless people. After spending almost 40 years helping to get 55 communities built for the neurotypical, If there is such a thing, I’m ready. After witnessing a cohousing community in Iceland that truly honored neurodivergent people, and gives them a place where they are accepted, loved, where they belong, are appreciated, and have purpose. A place where 45 folks with Autism or Down syndrome live and with 55 neurotypical folks including children. If you know anyone and I mean anyone that might know of a family with a neurodiverse member, please forward this email to them. It’s about getting people out of isolating themselves, or out of a shared house, or an institution where they might not be comfortable. We’re motivated and would appreciate it immensely if you could just forward this email to those few families that you know who could use it. It's a free 1.5 hour class and will be instructive to everyone. Click HERE to sign up.
Thank you so much,
Chuck Durrett
